Next-Level Employee Prizes

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Instead of the usual small electronics and $100 gift cards for our latest employee party prizes, we put together prize packages with themes and utilized local businesses. For example, in the RVA Restaurant Sampler – Downtown Version, we packaged gift cards to three local, non-chain restaurants, one local dessert restaurant, and Uber. In the RVA Adventures – Paddle & Swing prize, we gave gift cards to a local outdoor/river adventure company and the local Drive Shack (golf/entertainment venue).

We also deviated from our usual drawings by letting employees choose which prize they wanted to enter to win, so the excitement level during the raffle was higher than usual. We eliminated the possibility that someone would win a prize they weren’t excited about or something they already had (like a Bluetooth speaker, for example).

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The prizes generated a lot of buzz, and we received lots of positive feedback from our employees.
