Pie Sale

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Champions Run’s bakery did a member pie sale in which we sold over 200 pies with proceeds going to the Stephens Center in Omaha.  This was a fun philanthropy that our members got behind as they needed pies for Thanksgiving Dinners!  We sold 3 types of pies for $25 each with 100% of the proceeds going to the Stephens Center Shelter.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Our members embraced the idea and ordered tons of pies through an online portal.  Pickup of the pies was over a two day period where the pies included thank you notes with every order!  This is our second year doing the event and it continues to gro every year!  Our Pastry Chef Hannah Eadie does an amazing job and it allows her to be seen by the members.  To promote the event we pied our staff through a facebook live event!  Members could also buy pies through the facebook live stream!  We even had a member who had us pie her husband while he was in a meeting in the restaurant!  WOW! WE RAISED OVER $5000!
