Pirate River Cruise

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Ahoy Matey! On July 22nd members and guests of MRGC set sail on a pirate cruise around the Manasquan River! Not only was the ship decked-out in a pirate décor, but members and guests embraced the theme as well! Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were served on the boat while passengers enjoyed a performance on the steel drums. Upon disembarkment, everyone was treated to a tropical luau & dinner, complete with rum punch and music. Dinner was served on the golf course under the stars. Members love when we are able to utilize the course for more than just golf! All in all, it was a very fun and successful event for all!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Manasquan River is a golf club with beach front property. However we don't use the waterfront property as we don't want to disturb golf play. The management team thought outside the box and created a non-golf event on the back 9. Members had an amazing time and are talking about ideas of what to host next on the water.
