TPCPT: Tiburon Peninsula Club Pong Tournament

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Our indoor table tennis (ping pong) tournament was our first attempt to create a age and gender-blind event, which also expanded our racquets programs beyond tennis and pickleball. Far from "business as usual" at the club, the TPCPT was a raucous Saturday morning that brought club members in and tested their skills against one another in new way.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We used three tables and cleared space in our indoor cafe to create a controlled environment, free of weather concerns. We provided paddles and balls, breakfast foods, orange juice and champagne. 24 members participated in our inaugural TPCPT and the word is out for next year's event!
