Idea Fair
Pottery Blowout
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
This post-holiday pottery event was designed to clear out remaining Fourth of July inventory—such as American flags, Statue of Liberty figures, and themed mugs—while offering a fun, creative experience for kids. Open to ages 4 and up, participants had one hour to paint as many pieces as they liked for a flat $20 fee. The event generated light revenue, cleared shelf space for new seasonal items, and added energy to the Art Studio schedule.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The format was simple, high-impact, and well-received. Kids enjoyed the freedom to paint multiple items without per-piece pricing, which encouraged creative experimentation. Staff had fun supporting the event and watching the kids’ artistic ideas come to life under the one-hour time limit. Members loved the relaxed atmosphere and value, making this both a successful inventory solution and a fun addition to youth programming.
