How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Release the Revenue was created to turn food and beverage goals into something the entire club could get excited about. What started as a simple way to motivate our pool café team has helped drive massive growth, taking the café from about $50,000 in seasonal sales to over $650,000. By turning sales milestones into fun, visible moments, the program keeps staff focused, competitive, and proud of what they are building. It has also made food and beverage feel like part of the club’s entertainment, not just a service.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Each time a revenue milestone is hit, we celebrate it with over-the-top moments like pieing a key staff member in the face and playing Deal or No Deal with the membership. Both staff and members win prizes along the way, including free drinks, cash, parties, and other fun rewards, so everyone feels invested in hitting the next goal. The energy around the café has completely changed, with members cheering on the staff and tracking progress all summer long. It turned selling food and drinks into a game the whole club wanted to play.
