Idea Fair
Saddle Life Cover Art Series
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Saddle & Cycle Club developed the Saddle Life Art Cover series to elevate Club communications through consistent, visually driven storytelling. The concept enhances the Club’s communications by making each edition of Saddle Life more distinctive, more recognizable, and more engaging at first glance. In recognition of the Club’s 130th Anniversary, the cover series was designed as a journey through influential art movements, with each cover paired with a description that provides context and reinforces the theme. This approach strengthens brand consistency, builds anticipation for each new edition, and supports a more premium presentation of information without altering the clarity or functionality of the communication itself.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
The Club implemented the series by establishing a standardized cover system that includes consistent placement for the Saddle Life title, typography, and brand framing, while allowing the artwork to change by edition. A simple production workflow was created to plan the art movement theme, produce the cover, and finalize the one-sentence description for each issue. Member response has been enthusiastic, and the covers have generated conversation and interest as “collectible” items that reflect both creativity and Club pride.
