This notable initiative focuses on educating members on specific environmental and historical points located throughout the Club’s expansive campus. To access information on these points of interest, members first locate one of the 20 wooden posts containing plaques and QR codes and then use their phone camera to scan the QR code to be taken to a link with detailed descriptions of each feature.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The Club, which serves as home to an abundance of plant and animal species and riparian areas, places particular emphasis on conservation. This environmentalism has been coupled with the Club’s ongoing embrace of its rich history to create a unique program that will continue to expand with time. Golfers and nature-walkers alike have found great enjoyment in learning more about their surroundings, and even long-time members are likely to gain new insights!
