Seaside with Santa

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The holidays are a special time at every Club. Here at BABC, we make sure to incorporate our greatest asset (nearly a quarter-mile of beach) to create experiences that are truly unforgettable. This year, Santa took full advantage and landed his sleigh right on the sand! The Club has traditionally hosted a Christmas Brunch with Santa at our Upper Club, which regularly sells out, so our goal was to create more opportunities for families to make memories with Santa. This was especially meaningful for our members who lost family photos in the Palisades Fire.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Seaside with Santa was offered as a complimentary event, and Members received a link to the professional photos within three days - just in time to send Christmas cards! Over 150 families attended, and the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. We paired the event alongside a toy drive, visit from the local fire station, and gingerbread house competition that drew over 300 participants. Santa even served as a guest judge! While our original sleigh burned in the Palisades Fire, our maintenance crew was able to reconstruct an exact replica, and a talented member of our accounting staff hand-painted the details. The result was a holiday experience that felt personal, thoughtful, and distinctly BABC.
