Idea Fair

Send Santa Claus dot com

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In light of the pandemic, we eased many social events at Champions Run: one of them being our beloved Santa Brunch, where members could come and take pictures with Santa, and enjoy other Christmas traditions. We wanted members to have this same opportunity, without compromising their health and safety. One of our staff members dressed up as Santa and visited members in their home for 15 minute increments.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Champions Run sent out a sign up form (sendsantaclaus.com) for members to sign up for a time slot to have Santa visit their home. This was very popular because many other places in Omaha were no longer offering Santa visits because of the close proximity Santa visits tend to be. We offered limited days and times for Santa to visit, but members loved that they could stay in the comfort of their homes and meet Santa briefly. We also sent elfs, the grinch, and each kid received a stocking, cookies and dinner!
