How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
During COVID when there was a lack of revenue and an inability to host inside functions, we created the IGC Social Suite! It started with an outdoor, 10 person (per the CDC at the time) custom 3 hour event with custom open bar & menu with Chef cooking your dinner over campfire. It gave people a safe way to relax during a pandemic and maintained a revenue stream for the Club.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
We set up 2 fire pits in a really nice area of the Club with an outdoor bar, dining area and adjacent seating area with string lights. From June to October it sold out. Generated est, $30K is sales and was a huge hit. So big that the board invested in a $25K landscape upgrade for 2021 and it again sold out every date with a waiting list!
