Sounds of Summer

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Inspired by European beach parties and music festivals, Sounds of Summer (SOS) is our most “Instagrammable” event with aesthetic photo ops, a lineup of nationally recognized DJs, multiple bars, and buffet stations. Partygoers check their shoes at the door to enjoy the festivities with their toes in the sand!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

SOS has been the highlight of the summer for our Junior members, with some even planning their vacations around the date! Creating a concert geared toward young adults has had quite an impact on Junior membership demand, which currently has a 3-year waitlist. Members of neighboring beach clubs are also invited to attend, allowing us to showcase our Club and solidify our reputation.

To pull off an event of this size, we close the Lower Clubhouse early during our peak season, so advanced communication is critical. This was also our first ride-share-only event, which opened our parking lot for smooth pick ups and drop offs. We continue to improve the program each year with new activations, décor, DJs, and more, so there’s always something new to look forward to.
