How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Over the years we have experimented with various versions of the Club’s logo with some successes and some "try again" moments. This year, we took a logo that is specific to a very popular men’s event and created a "boutique shopping experience" featuring a wide variety of product that could be purchased immediately or special ordered with the tournament-specific logo. Products included golf bags, apparel, belts, luggage, and headcovers.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Members loved the offerings and purchased many items for themselves and for their guests. In total, the "boutique" brought in approximately $16,000 in sales and had many members asking for more. This idea created additional buzz around the event and now has members talking about future events.
