How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

Over the past few years, Wine Dinners at the Clubhouse have become sold-out affairs at Ocean Reef. Mirroring this success, the Club came up with the concept of providing Specialty Dinners which pair popular beverages with exquisite meals and often include an expert representative to further delve into the featured spirit. This year’s offerings include: Woodford Reserve Dinner featuring the Assistant Master Distiller, an open air family-style Magnum Dinner, a Rose luncheon overlooking the Club’s Marina, a Don Julio Tequila Dinner, Lagunitas Brewing Company dinner, and a very intimate Kistler Winery dinner.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The Club’s Beverage Director works closely with distributors and then in turn with the Club’s Executive Chefs to develop a menu and setting that becomes an event. Members have relished these once-in-lifetime culinary opportunities, many of which are at full complement are now on waitlist. These special dinners have gained a Club-wide reputation as unique and memorable dining experiences that you don’t want to miss.
