Staff Shout Out Board

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Food and Beverage managers wanted to boost team morale and shine a light on staff members who go above and beyond their daily duties. In the staff area of the Farmington Grill, one of the Club's dining outlets, we placed a corkboard in the service side station and called it the "Staff Shout Out Board." We have instructions posted on how the board works, as well as sharpies and sticky notes available for staff members and managers to use.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This idea was implemented during a time when we were very understaffed due to the pandemic and labor shortages. At the time, our management team was looking at different strategies to have fun at work and boost team morale. The idea caught on fast and staff began to give others a "shout out" when someone would help them during service, did extra side work, etc. Managers also use the board as an extra thank you and public acknowledgment of staff who go above and beyond for members, pick up extra shifts and overall do a great job!
