Idea Fair

Superindendants Revenge Tournament

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In December, our agronomy team transformed a traditional holiday golf event into an unforgettable, laughter-filled experience: Superintendent’s Revenge – Grinch Edition. The goal was simple—break routine, celebrate the greens crew, and create an interactive event that members would talk about long after the final putt dropped.

Rather than focusing on competition, the event leaned into surprise, humor, and connection. From unexpected obstacles to the Grinch himself interfering with play, every hole delivered something new.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

The tournament featured whimsical twists, including festive course obstacles, unpredictable lies, and playful on-course rule changes enforced by the Grinch and the greens crew. Beverage stations, hot cocoa at the turn, and a post-round dinner elevated the day into a full holiday experience.

Members embraced the chaos—laughing, photographing every moment, and repeatedly commenting on how refreshing it felt to see the course and staff showcased in such a fun, lighthearted way. The event strengthened relationships between members and staff while reinforcing our Club’s culture of creativity and hospitality.
