How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

A grown-up treasure chest with items costing between $5-$10. Whenever a staff member goes above and beyond, they chose an item from the treasure chest.

At times it feels like small denominations of staff appreciation gift cards feel tired, or over played. We wanted to offer something different to incentivize the team to continuously look for ways to “Make it Nice” for our members. Gift cards are still used for staff recognition, just in larger denominations, and for EXTRA special situations, which has in turn made the team excited about them again.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We purchased a variety of items: face masks, portable chargers, sample size of designer makeup, beard oil, etc. and combined them in the treasure chest. Anytime management notices the team doing an exceptional job, they invite them to pick an item. Everyone had been excited to dig through the “treasure chest.” It has also brought back a sense of nostalgia from a time long ago in kindergarten, but a grown-up version.
