Turning Salon Trash into Treasure

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

In 2024/25 our Salon took a meaningful step forward by partnering with Green Circle Salons, an organization dedicated to transforming beauty industry waste into sustainable innovations. Since the inception of this partnership, we have recycled over 95% of our Salon waste which is being recovered and responsibly processed to reduce our environmental footprint.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

This initiative was inspired by one of our hairstylists. Her recommendation sparked a powerful operational shift and one that our Members have greatly appreciated. Green Circle Salons has made the process simple and efficient by providing designated recycling boxes for each waste category. Once filled, these boxes are shipped back to the organization where the materials are sorted and repurposed into innovations such as bicycles, clean energy and other sustainable solutions. Our Members take pride in being apart of a Club that demonstrates its dedication to prioritize sustainability.
