How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

This event offered members an opportunity to learn about the basics of wine from terroir to varietal differences to the process of making wine. It was aimed at members who are intimidated by all of the nuances and jargon as it pertains to wine. This quickly became a member favorite and multiple trainings and blind tastings have been scheduled as a result

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Members were also introduced to the Deductive Tasting Method of tasting wine for evaluation purposes through techniques championed by the Court of Master Sommeliers. Our in-house wine expert, Stefan Rossell, kept the evening fun and engaging, while imparting new information and sensory evaluation techniques to our members. Wines were evaluated together using the new techniques and members had a great time learning to hone their new skills and take the stigma off of understanding and enjoying wine. The members loved the event and it has spurn interest in the club’s Vintner’s Club program and other wine tasting events.
