Idea Fair
Winter Camp
How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?
Winter Camp was created to give our membership a fun and festive place for their kids to celebrate the holiday season at FCO in a unique and memorable way. The program was filled with holiday-themed activities and crafts, special games, and off-site field trips that gave kids something exciting to look forward to during winter break. Campers had the opportunity to meet new friends, strengthen existing friendships, and enjoy their time away from school in an engaging, active environment. For families, Winter Camp offered a trusted, on-site option that kept kids happy and entertained while reinforcing the club as a welcoming place for families year-round, making winter break both fun and meaningful for our members.
How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?
Winter Camp was thoughtfully planned and implemented with a focus on creating a festive, well-organized program that aligned with the holiday season and when kids were out of school for winter break. This program gave kids a fun way to spend their break outside of the house while also supporting parents who often have limited childcare options during the holiday season. A schedule was developed that blended holiday-themed crafts and activities, games, and special field trips, while trained staff created a welcoming and exciting environment for campers throughout winter break. Member reaction was very positive, with parents expressing appreciation for having a fun, on-site option during winter break and children sharing excitement about the activities, friendships, and holiday memories they made. Many families noted that Winter Camp added value to their membership and became a highlight of the season for their kids. We even had multiple families who participated in Winter Camp love it so much they signed up for our Summer Camp Program for the following year!
