CMAA’s story began at the Hotel Sherman, in Chicago, IL, January 24-27, 1927, when 100 club managers first organized our national association. The attendees solidified the organization’s purpose and direction, drafted bylaws, elected officers, and set the annual dues. Chicago is a city with a rich history, a city that is never done and never outdone. The 2027 World Conference will be no different.

Chicago, IL, is known for cold, snowy Februarys with average temperatures between 33-40 degrees. But we have that all under control. Daily educational programming including general education sessions and the Club Business Expo will take place indoors in the McCormick Place West Building, and some networking events will be held at the Marriott Marquis Chicago. CMAA has contracted with two properties from which attendees can choose, the Marriott Marquis Chicago and the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago. Both properties feature climate-controlled skybridges connecting to McCormick Place. Traditional outdoor activities like The Club Foundation’s ClubLove 5K will be adapted to climate-controlled spaces.

The 1927 package is your all-access pass to the 2027 World Conference & Club Business Expo. Available exclusively to current CMAA members in limited quantities, the package includes admission to all CMAA business and education sessions and the Club Business Expo, along with tickets to A Night at the Field Museum, the Awards Breakfast, the Club Business Expo Birthday Bash, the Centennial Celebration Gala, and Afterglow. Package holders will also receive a special commemorative gift, access to the CMAA Events App, and the opportunity to earn up to 20 CMI Credits and 12 Association Activity Credits.

CMAA hotel reservation options will open in mid-October. After you complete your World Conference registration, your confirmation email will include a personalized link to book your hotel through the Passkey system. We encourage you to reserve your room as soon as you register to secure the best availability. Early booking is recommended for this highly anticipated event.

Unauthorized housing companies known as “housing poachers” might contact you and identify themselves as being affiliated with CMAA or the World Conference and Club Business Expo. Lured by highly attractive rates, exhibitors and attendees fall prey to these imposters losing significant deposits, discovering hidden costs, up front charges, or being bait and switched to hotel rooms they never booked. CMAA has no affiliation with third-party hotel brokers and hotel reservations should only be made using the link provided when registration opens to ensure guaranteed reservations.

CMAA offers multiple options for your significant other/spouse including a Significant Other – Full registration, a Significant Other – Basic Registration, and individual guest tickets. Please note that current CMAA members or individuals working in the club industry are prohibited from using these guest categories and cannot earn Education Credits. All successful registrations will receive an automatic email confirmation that will contain official information, including your link to book your hotel reservation. Please save this email as your receipt; the links within it can be used to make changes to your registration including adding additional tickets, workshops, etc. Please check your spam filter if you do not receive your confirmation.
