This is an opportunity to exchange ideas, build relationships, and showcase the talent and creativity of the next generation of club management professionals.
To participate, Student Chapters must reserve a table by Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 12:00 noon ET.
Overview
Celebrate the innovation, creativity, and leadership of CMAA’s Student Chapters! This interactive event connects students, faculty, alumni, and club management professionals through engaging displays, networking, and mentorship opportunities—all designed to highlight student impact and strengthen the CMAA community.
Did your chapter submit an idea to the Student Chapter & Faculty Idea Fair or Shark Tank Competition? Bring your boards and displays to show off your creativity! Share your concept with peers, managers, and industry leaders to spark conversation, feedback, and collaboration.
Each chapter booth is a chance to showcase what makes your student community unique. Consider featuring:
- Fundraising & Partnership Highlights—Spotlight successful projects and collaborations.
- Career Connection Corner—Engage managers for résumé feedback or mentorship.
- Future Engagement Sign-Up—Invite professionals to stay connected for guest speaking or club visits.
- Networking & Storytelling—Share your Student Chapter’s story through photos!
Your display should reflect your Student Chapter’s personality and inspire meaningful connections with industry professionals.
Students are responsible for transporting and setting up their own Shark Tank and Idea Fair boards, as well as providing any additional booth materials or features they wish to showcase.
Best Practices
To make the most of your showcase experience and stand out to managers, alumni, and fellow students, consider these best practices:
- Offer ways for visitors to participate: QR codes, sign-up sheets
- Have a team member ready to greet visitors and start conversations.
- Practice a short “elevator pitch” about your Student Chapter.
3. Showcase Outcomes, Not Just Activities
- Highlight what your Student Chapter achieved, and its impact, fundraising totals, member growth, partnerships, learning outcomes, etc.
- If part of Shark Tank or Idea Fair, explain what problem your idea solves and why it matters to your Student Chapter.
- Print business cards or QR codes linking to your Student Chapter’s social media, website, or LinkedIn.
- Have a sign-up sheet for club managers or alumni interested in mentorship or guest speaking.
- Wear Student Chapter shirts, business attire, or coordinated attire for easy recognition.
- Have at least one student at the booth at all times.
- Practice warm, confident introductions.
6. Show Appreciation & Follow Up
- When a manager or faculty member stops by, take notes or collect contact info.
- After the event, send thank-you messages and stay connected on LinkedIn.
