All CMAA members are welcome to attend National Golf Day and advocate for the industry. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and accommodations costs.
Annually, National Golf Day unites the golf and club industries on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. Advocates convene to educate members of Congress and their staff about the industry and the impact of notable legislative and regulatory issues. The event is organized by the American Golf Industry Coalition (AGIC), of which CMAA is a proud founding member.
Representing nearly 50 allied organizations, from course owners, operators, and managers to manufacturers, turf professionals, and community programs, AGIC advances a unified agenda built around four key areas of focus:
- Being Responsible Stewards,
- Delivering Health and Wellness,
- Driving Economic and Charitable Impact, and
- Expanding Access to the Game.
Save the Date
The 2027 National Golf Day will be held on Wednesday, May 5, with events beginning on May 4.
- In advance of the event, attendees will receive virtual training on how to be a successful advocate and to explain the 3 to 4 priority issues.
- On the day before, attendees will be further prepared at in-person training. This training will focus on navigating the Hill and Capitol Hill offices, connecting with your advocacy team, reviewing priority issues, and includes an opportunity to practice your delivery.
- At National Golf Day, attendees are paired with other industry professionals by geographic area and travel together as a team to visit with their lawmakers on Capitol Hill and advocate for the industry’s priority issues.

The National Golf Day Stipend, Made Possible by The Club Foundation
To encourage broader member participation, CMAA has established a travel stipend to defray the cost of attendance. CMAA members may apply for support to cover travel and accommodations associated with participation in the Washington, DC, advocacy event.
