Career Development Discussion with Mark Bado

This idea enhanced our chapter by giving students meaningful exposure to a high-level club professional and improving our overall career development offerings. It offered students practical advice, industry insight, and a chance to connect directly with an executive leader. Bringing in a respected speaker strengthened chapter participation, supported student confidence, and helped our members better understand what it takes to succeed in the club industry.

Implementation

We implemented this idea by hosting a virtual discussion with Mark Bado and promoting it to all chapter members. The event featured a brief presentation, followed by a Q&A session. Students reacted very positively; many said it helped them understand the industry better, feel more confident in their career paths, and appreciate the chapter offering more professional development opportunities.
