Club Tour Bonding Activities

Description

This idea set the tone for the dynamic between our members and had improved engagement and participation. This idea allowed our members to build connections with each other so much so that they all encourage each other to attend meetings and socials on their own accord.

Implementation

The board held a meeting where our social events chair led the discussion with ideas to promote team building. We wanted to be intentional about the time we spent together and so we created a list of games to play with our members at our Airbnb. We bought the game "catchphrase" and also brough cards, board games and planned a night out on the town to have dinner together. Our member's loved this idea because the games we played were in teams or partners and so they were forced to get out of their comfort zone and connect more meaningfully with each other. They loved the game catchphrase and bring it up during our meetings, but they mostly rave about the new friendships they formed and how they all look forward to hanging out with each other during meetings or socials.
