Guest Speaker Panel

Description

This idea has encouraged our members to be active in the opportunities we have because they realize the value of having access to a network of professionals. This panel allowed them to connect with multiple industry representatives and because it was exclusive to members they felt special that it was event just for them.

Implementation

We asked for a list of companies attending out Career Fair and sent an invitation to participate in this panel to all the club/club adjacent companies. We emailed back and forth setting an itinerary and putting together a presentation. Our advisor took care of the reception and ordered food and drinks to make the room feel light and easy-going. We sent out invitations to attend to our members and hosted the reception and then the panel. Our students loved this because it was a more intimate and vulnerable setting where they could feel more comfortable asking the recruiters questions not just about their place of employment but their experiences in the industry and with CMAA.
