Headshots & Resume Workshop

Description

This idea has instilled confidence in our members that we truly care about providing professional development opportunities which has led them to participate in our other activities more intentionally.

Implementation

We reached out to an alumni connection and asked them to guest speak in our workshop and to prepare a short resume building presentation. We asked our members to prepare their resumes and bring printed copies. We set the time before the meeting to take headshots and later joined in on a zoom call with our guest speaker. Once that ended, we swapped our resumes and made notes on each other's copies with suggestions to improve their resume's. The members loved this and were very active in the conversion both with the guest speaker and with each other. They have asked for more professional development opportunities and were delighted with their new resume corrections and headshots.
