Socials - Connection Beyond Campus

Description

Having our socials away from campus and in different settings has helped us increase interest and attendance.

Implementation

At the beginning of the month, the board sat to think of ideas for socials, and we decided to create a field day and bought all necessary equipment like water and granola bars as well as a kickball and we announced it at our kickoff meeting. We did the same for the diner social and chose a restaurant that we surveyed was popular amongst our members and had an atmosphere that encouraged conversation. Our members loved this! They like that the ideas for socials cater both to the gentlemen and ladies of the club. They also liked that they were away from campus because it encouraged them to get acquainted with the local community!
