Special Club Features

Founded in 1891, Maidstone Club is an exclusive “Top 30” Platinum Club overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful East Hampton, NY.

Maidstone features a magnificent Clubhouse designed by the renowned architect Roger Bullard. A Beach Club sits directly below the Clubhouse and features a private beach, pool, beach bar, cafeteria & snack bar. Our Tennis Club features a newly renovated Clubhouse with 19 grass, 2 Har-Tru and 2 all-weather courts.

The pride of Maidstone is its unique links golf course (West Course) designed by Willie Park Jr. The course is perennially awarded as a “top 100” in the country and has recently completed a renovation by the renowned architect team of Coore & Crenshaw. The Club also features a nine-hole (East) course.

Maidstone is open from April 14 to January 1 with its high season being July Fourth to Labor Day. Maidstone is a high volume food & beverage facility including a Ballroom (in both the main Clubhouse as well as the Tennis Club), a la Carte dining room and the aforementioned Beach Club. Maidstone features the talents of Chef Ian Scollay who is a recipient of the James Beard award and whose fine dining is considered the best in the Hamptons.

Club is open 7 days per week, 9 months per year.

As a Food & Beverage Intern, your primary responsibility is to provide immediate attention and proper food service to our Members and their guests. Daily functions include acting as a Snack Bar attendant at the Beach snack bar, acting as a formal dining server, assisting in service during banquets and major club events, and other projects as assigned by management. Due to the highly seasonal nature of our club, the ideal employee will exhibit the ability to cope with extensive hours and maintain a high sense of urgency in the service of our members. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential to the success of each intern, as well as imperative to the success of our operation. As a member of the Maidstone Team you will work to maintain a high standard of appearance, hospitality, service and care of all the outlets and outlet assets.

Candidate Qualifications

The perfect canddate is currently studying hospitality with a private club concentration.  Recent grads will also be considered for summer post-grad internships which could lead to permanent positions.
