Golf Facilities

The club has developed a master plan and is currently in the process of renovating both golf courses. Construction started on nine holes in the fall of 2013. The project will continue with nine holes each year until both courses are completed in 2016. Site of the 1999 U.S. Senior Open Tournament. Site of the 2017 Solheim Cup.

Tennis Facilities

The club renovated the facility in 2005. Part of the renovation was the addition of a tennis bubble to give the club a year round tennis program.

Assistant Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

The Assistant Clubhouse Manager is responsible for the management of all food service functions in their assigned area of responsibility.  Ensures all administrative responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.  Maintains contact with the membership and receives any questions or comments and relays this information to the Clubhouse Manager and General Manager.  Works in a rotation with other managers to supervise, schedule, and train service staff in order to coordinate quality food and service.

Candidate Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Directs pre-meal meetings with dining room personnel.  Relays information and policy changes to personnel.
  2. Carefully supervises dining room staff to help assure proper service; assisting with service as needed.
  3. Inspects dining room employees to insure that they are in proper and clean uniforms at all times.
  4. Greets and seats members and guests as needed.
  5. Checks table reservations and takes reservations as needed
  6. Assists with service and tableside cookery as needed.
  7. Supervises staff in assigned area giving attention to proper set up, stocking, cleanliness, efficiency of operations and inventory procedures.
  8. Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and facilities.  Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining room and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
  9. Assures that dining room and other club areas are secure at the end of the business day.
  10. Implements objectives, policies and programs developed by the Clubhouse Manager, General Manager and Board of Directors.
  11. Monitors food, beverage and labor costs/controls within the clubhouse to assure effective practices and reviews them with the Clubhouse Manager.
  12. Checks special function/reservation sheets daily to insure proper staffing and set up.
  13. Assists with scheduling staff in assigned area of responsibility.
  14. Works in conjunction with the Clubhouse Manager to provide insight and direction for the interviewing, hiring and scheduling of service personnel.
  15. Responsible for the semi-annual performance reviews of staff in assigned areas.
  16. Insures that daily food and bar sales are properly accounted for and the Point of Sale System is closed out daily.
  17. Conducts monthly meetings with service staff of assigned department.
  18. Such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Educational Requirements

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact with members and staff.
  2. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand basic written and oral instructions. 
  3. High School education is mandatory and a college education is preferred with a hospitality degree being ideal.
  4. Knowledge of the beverage industry, specifically the finer points of bartending is essential. Must be able to mix all usual types of alcoholic beverages and know the proper procedure for handling and servicing various types of wines.
