Brief Job Description

Our exclusive Private Club is looking for a uniquely talented Assistant General Manager to join the management team. Park City Club is a 35 year old, 1100 member strong, for-profit club which is privately owned by three experienced club executives. From its 17th floor sanctuary in Preston Center, Park City Club members enjoy amazing cuisine while overlooking the sparkling Dallas skyline.  Club facilities include Main Dining Room and 6 private rooms capable of combined reception space for 500.  The club has a vibrant membership enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner, robust banquet volume and a tenured staff of dedicated professionals.  Management believes strongly in maintaining a proper balance between work life and home life. Average employee tenure is eleven years. 

This is a career position for an accomplished Assistant General Manager.

Duties include: 

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all food and beverage activities club-wide
  • Oversees Front of the House staff. Interviews, employs, assigns, trains, schedules and evaluates all staff members to develop and maintain an effective and efficient working team
  • Develops standards of performance for each position and coaches daily to assure all employees are skilled at their position
  • Supervises the staff to guarantee the established policies and procedures are followed for all assigned functions, to include time accounting and payroll requirements
  • Provides appropriate security and maintenance for Club areas under his/her control and all supplies, equipment and the entire facility
  • Manages every aspect of Front of the House inventory
  • Creates and manages every aspect of the club’s wine program
  • Works with team members to successfully plan, promote and successfully  execute all special member events 

Candidate Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of a la carte and banquet revenue generation and cost controls
  • Extremely personable and passionate about delivering memorable experiences
  • Supervisory and administrative skills to include training, personnel evaluation, budget preparation, and ability to effectively manage costs and inventory.  Must be computer literate with all Microsoft Office Suite products
  • POS management experience
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Banquet experience is essential
  • Positive, engaging, hands on management style
  • Sets the bar and maintains the highest of standards with an eye for detail

Educational Requirements

  • Four year degree (HRM preferred); involvement in CMAA a plus
  • Minimum of five years in club management, or equivalent resort, hotel or fine-dining management experience
