Special Club Features

Minocqua Country Club is situated in the “Lakeland Area” consisting of Minocqua, Hazelhurst, Lake Tomahawk, Woodruff, Arbor Vitae and the surrounding area is an outdoors destination for all seasons.  An active lifestyle is always possible with boating, fishing, biking and hiking trails.  During the winter we benefit from a very active snowmobiling community.  Ice fishing, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing are also winter favorites.  Our area offers year round hunting and is a destination for generations of whitetail deer and ruffed grouse hunters.  Residents and guests benefit from the Lakeland Area’s active calendar of fairs, entertainment, and athletic events, boutique shopping, local dining and brewing, lakeside resorts and parks.

The Minocqua CC Clubhouse is open approximately May to October of each year, and will allow enjoyment of the great resources our local community provides to active individuals in the Club's off-season.

Club is open 7 days per week, 6 months per year.

Clubhouse Manager

Brief Job Description

Minocqua Country Club is seeking to hire a Clubhouse Manager to join out Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of management/operation requirements for food & beverage, housekeeping, maintenance and repair and security functions of the club. The candidate must have a proven history of developing positive member experiences and understanting of Club operations with a high standard of service. 

The Club is open from May to middle of October. During these 6 months the Club has an active social calendar of parties and events. Many of our members live in the surrounding communities and the Club is convenient focal point for their golf and social activities. In season will work 6 days a week. Off season can be discussed with GM. Possible work remotely, minimum hours during off season. 

The Clubhouse Manager will work closely with the General Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the Club in the absense of the GM. 

  • Must be an engaging and dynamic leader. 
  • Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and profect management skills. 
  • Engage and interact with members to ensure the highest level of service is obtained
  • Oversee and be accountable for daily club operations. 
  • Monitor POS system. Jonas experience a plus. 
  • May perform clubhouse opening and closing duties. 
  • Responsible for recruiting/hiring and training quality staff members
  • Oversees all employee paper work to make sure they are inputed into POS system. 
  • Responsible for Bar and Sundries inventories and ordering. 
  • Books and schedules all social and private events with Executive Chef and GM. 
  • Sits on House and Social Committee meeting during season. 
  • Maintains the cleanliness, maintenance of the facility.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Member of Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) and other professional associations. 
  • Three or more years of experience in a similar position. 
  • Substantial private club or hospitality industry experience with management and supervisory experience and progressive professional advancement
  • Experience with reopening operations following winter close down

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Hospitality Management major a plus
  • Food and beverage experience which include, event planning and staffing and training. 
  • Professional work ethic; self-motivated

Club is in the process of adding a 401(k) plan to the club with a match. House is available if needed (two bedroom townhome fully furnished).
