Position/Job Title: Dining Room Manager
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Food & Beverage Director
Status: Exempt
JOB SUMMARY:
The Dining Room Manager works closely with the Food and Beverage Director, Assistant Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef. The Dining Room Manager is responsible for assisting with day to day food and beverage operations and assists in the management of all beverage programs and wine lists. Dining Room Manager is also responsibilities for lunch service, dinner service, and/or member events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assists in the management of day to day operations of food and beverage service which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner service, pool service, fine dining and club events.
• Works closely with Assistant Food and Beverage Director for staffing and formulating the SOP’S for all service staff
• Assigns and monitors the completion of all opening and closing duties for all service staff.
• Comprises the schedule for Food and Beverage Staff.
• Assists with monitoring of all service staff labor hours.
• Become the liaison between the kitchen and the front of the house.
• Assists with training and development programs for all staff.
• Monitors and enforces all safety conditions and safety procedures.
• Monitors employee dress code.
• Maintains contact with members at all time and helps to assure maximum member satisfaction.
• Receives and resolves complaints from club members, guests and employees.
• Performs Clubhouse opening and closing duties.
• Attends management and staff meetings.
• Interacts with members answering questions, solving problems, overseeing services, taking reservations and showing the club facilities to visitors.
• Undertakes special projects as requested by the Assistant Food and Beverage Director and/or Food and Beverage Director
• Researches new beverage and wine programs and discusses them with the Food and Beverage Director.
• Works with Food and Beverage Director to comprise a system of superior bar service. This to include execution of all drinks and their garnishes, cleaning procedures of bar, bartender knowledge of drink menu and wine list, and creativity for daily drink specials.
• Assist with inventory of all liquor, wine, beer, and beverage at the end of every month.
• Assists with the long-and short-term strategic planning for the Food and Beverage Operations.
• Assists Food and Beverage Team on new creative ideas on how to improve efficiency throughout the workplace.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• College degree or a student pursuing a college degree is preferred, or two-four years of related experience and/or training.
• Minimum of 2 years serving, or supervisory experience required in fine dining or upscale restaurant. Country Club experience is preferred.
• Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional Member service.
• Full-time, flexible hours are required (must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).

• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
• Proficient in computer skills including POS systems, Word and Excel.
• Professional appearance appropriate for a premier country club.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, Power Point, and Publisher. Ability to learn the Club Essential Software through training and the ability to implement the knowledge obtained through that training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Managers Food Safety Certification
• Alcoholic Beverage Certification
• Valid Drivers License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Must be able to stand on feet for 8 hours.
• Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
