We have two clubhouses approximately 8 miles apart that provide many dining and entertainment options for our members.

Special Club Features

The Baltimore Country Club is a 123-year-old establishment, founded in 1898 and consistently ranked as a top Platinum Club. It is a prestigious private club with two golf courses and is listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the United States and is one of only seven clubs nationwide to operate two campuses. Our championship East Course, designed by A. W. Tillinghast, has hosted 7 major tournaments and recently hosted the Big 10 Golf Championship in 2017 and 2018. The East Course has been highly recognized, among others, by Golf Digest, Golfweek and as one of the 100 “Most Prestigious Clubs in the World” by Links Magazine.

Other than golf, the club offers its members a full range of recreational and social amenities including, tennis, bowling, squash, swimming, paddle tennis, state-of-the-art fitness centers and elegant and casual dining and banquet facilities.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Beverage Manager

Brief Job Description

The Baltimore Country Club is seeking a Beverage Manager who will be responsible for managing and providing service during a la carte dining, managing beverage program and inventories, and providing administrative support for the department. Responsibilities include scheduling, leading and supporting the Beverage Staff Members during dining service, stocking, tracking and reporting beverage consumption and inventory requirements, providing support for the Food & Beverage Service department, coordinating activities with the Accounting and Culinary Services departments, and any other duties as needed.

This role will develop a strong beverage program including team development, to prepare the Club for a $14 million dollar Clubhouse renovation which will include three bars and a private wine room.

$1000 Sign-on Incentive to be paid out in two increments:

$500 Sign-on Incentive after 30 days of employment; additional $500 Retention Incentive to be paid out after 60 days of employment.

Staff Member's first day of work must take place on or before 7/1/2021.

Candidate Qualifications

A successful candidate must have proven experience in successfully managing a la carte and banquet service, scheduling and motivating staff to perform at an exceptional level, have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with members, guests, Club management and staff, knowledge of F&B software and Microsoft excel and word and be able to work all shifts including weekends and evenings. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is strongly preferred. At least 5 years of service experience in a bar environment; at least 4 years of wine and beverage service experience is required. Sommelier Level 1 is required; Level 2 is strongly preferred. Experience working in a Country Club is strongly preferred, but not required.
