Grand Ballroom
Our Grand Ballroom boasts just under 6,000 sq. ft. of space with a versatile layout. Accompanied by both indoor and outdoor cocktail/pre-function areas, it makes it a great place to host large events and can accommodate up to 400 people for a seated meal.

Ballroom
The Ballroom, a sectioned off portion for Grand Ballroom, is a great option for groups who are looking for the Ballroom setting at a smaller capacity.

Polo Room
The Polo Room is our most sought-after space, with the adjacent Polo Terrace, this is the perfect indoor/outdoor space for a group up to 80 people with one of the best views on the Main Line.

Rosewood Room
The Rosewood Room is our favorite indoor location to host a small event, with seating for up to 50 people, this space has its own pre-function space which makes it perfect for entertaining.

1890 Room
Our formal Member dining room is available for private buy-outs and is perfect for a group up to 30 guests.
Founders’ Room
Our 16-seat board room is equipped with state-of-the-art video conferencing technology.

The Lodge
The Lodge is the place to go for its rustic, casual atmosphere, and is best suited for groups up to 40 in a cocktail setting.

Bowling Alley
The Bowling Alley is a prime location for birthday parties and family gatherings up to 40 people.

Golf Courses
Our 18-hole championship golf course has options for outings of all sizes, and with our additional recently- renovated Centennial 9 and new practice facilities there is a golf option for everyone.

Club is open 6 days per week, 12 months per year.

Brief Job Description

Philadelphia Country Club is seeking an energetic, forward-thinking leader to join our team! This candidate will have a keen eye for detail and will pride themselves on providing an exceptional member experience and gracious hospitality. The Private Dining/Catering Manager will work closely with the Clubhouse Manager, Director of Operations, Executive Chef, Service Director, F&B Operations Managers and the Beverage Manager to ensure no detail is overlooked in providing a platinum club-level service.

Overview of Responsibilities:

Member Service
• This visible and engaging, highly professional leader will provide an exceptional member experience, ensuring and maintaining proper service standards through all Private Dining and Member Events.
• Responds to all Member and potential lead inquiries in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all Club Members and Guests receive courteous, prompt and professional attention to all their needs.
• Continually explores potential new events and ideas to create unique and high quality events. Establishes and publishes a yearly Private Events Marketing Plan.
• Implements an on-going marketing campaign to alert and inform Members about the Club’s Private Event offerings.

Administrative
• Works with the Executive Chef and Director of Operations to develop menu presentation, selection of menu items and pricing for all items related to events. Possesses the culinary knowledge to entirely customize the event menu. Hosts menu tasting for Members only when appropriate for the event being planned.
• Coordinates the production of completed function sheets to be distributed to all Club departments in the weekly BEO distribution packet.
• Maintains past and potential Member event files; schedules calls / visits to assess on-going needs of Members or Clients.
• Participates in appropriate committee meetings.
• Prepares the annual private event budget and compiles monthly and annual forecasts for the Board of Governors.

Operations
• Conducts daily informational meetings to review upcoming events. Serves as the lead information liaison for the Food and Beverage Operation and in a timely manner, transmits necessary information to all relevant departments.
• Assists Members & Clients to arrange private events including, golf outings, weddings, bar and bat mitvahs, dinners, lunches, corporate events. Obtains all pertinent operational information needed for guest planning including menus, entertainment, theme, decorations, set-up, etc.
• Develops detailed plans for each event pertaining to arrival; set-up, execution, décor, entertainment and departure details. Coordinates the plan with all relevant departments to insure proper service delivery and maintenance of the Club’s service standards.
• Meets and greets Members arriving for events. Assists the Food & Beverage Operations Managers with the supervision of service and bar staff as needed. Assists Members with last minute changes or coordination or the timing of their event by communicating changes to Food & Beverage Operations Managers.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Five year minimum experience in high end private event sales for a private club, hotel or resort
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • A career path marked with stability and professional achievement
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with strong communication skills and high visibility
  • A commitment to the profession and high ethical standards
  • The professional will be a lifelong learner continuing research and understanding industry trends.
  • Impeccable and verifiable references
  • The ability to operate a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data utilizing word, excel, outlook, power point, email, Jonas, ADP, internet, and other software programs at a high level or proficiency.
  • Possesses extensive wine and culinary knowledge

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Hospitality or related program
