Seven Club Management Professionals Achieve Certification
CCM-PinWe are proud to announce the newest club management professionals to attain the designation of Certified Club Manager (CCM). Established in 1965, the CCM designation is the hallmark of professionalism in club management. It is a valuable, internationally recognized, and widely respected mark of a manager’s commitment to professional development and the club industry.

The CCM designation indicates that a club management professional has completed a rigorous and extensive course of study and training and demonstrates a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management. Candidates who earn the designation have completed a program enriched with significant educational experience, applicable knowledge, and business tools that can deliver a positive impact to their professional pursuits. After completing the specified educational requirements, the individual must pass the CCM Exam.

Cap Reached for Additional Returning Worker H-2B Visas for FY2021
On June 3, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that the recently released additional 16,000 FY2021 H-2B visas for returning workers have been exhausted. However, availability still remains for the 6,000 visas earmarked for workers from the countries of Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

On May 25, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor released a final rule that supplements the existing FY2021 H-2B visa cap by 22,000 through September 30, 2021. In this supplemental release, 16,000 visas are earmarked for returning workers and 6,000 of these visas are designated for workers coming from the Northern Triangle. Employers who have already satisfied the US labor recruiting test, verifying that there are no US workers available, could petition for the additional FY2021 H-2B visas but must also meet additional attestation and recruitment requirements.

#MakeGolfYourThing Launches
As part of this year’s National Golf Day, the golf industry previewed a multi-faceted, multi-year movement to grow and diversify golf. The industry-wide collaboration is aimed at growing and diversifying the sport in the areas of education and skill development, talent acquisition, procurement, youth and adult player development, human resources, and marketing and communication. The marketing element will show golf in new and non-traditional ways and will provide the industry with a platform – including national media exposure and creative assets – to use locally in support of inviting newcomers to the game, and especially those traditionally underrepresented in golf.
