The just-released BMI Financial Literacy will equip club management professionals to confidently communicate complex financial dynamics to their Boards and Finance Committees. The week-long program blends instruction with hands-on application workshops using your club’s financial information. You will leave with a graded competency assessment, a personalized action plan, and a leadership education strategy that transforms financial literacy into an organizational capability for data-driven governance.
Hosted at the prestigious University Club of Chicago, November 9-13, BMI Financial Literacy is designed for Certified Club Managers (CCM) and Certified Chief Executives (CCE). Attendance at all sessions qualifies for 30 Club Management Institute (CMI) credits and satisfies one requirement for the CCE designation (effective 2030).

Every year, this global gathering draws together around 2,500 professionals and hospitality students from across the globe for a week of inspiration and networking.
We invite you to be a part of our 2027 World Conference, CMAA's Centennial, February 7-11 in Chicago, IL.
Submit your proposal now to showcase your knowledge and contribute to the conversation that shapes the future of club management and hospitality. Multiple submissions are accepted.
All proposals to present a program are due no later than June 5. CMAA will review all submitted proposals and all who submit a proposal will be notified of the status of their proposal in July. Please contact Michelle Carrington with any questions.

CMAA has partnered with MGI, a trusted association research firm, to gather CMAA member insights that will help shape the future value of CMAA membership and better support today’s club management professionals. All current Professional, Alumnus, Student, and select Honorary and Associate members received a personalized email invitation to participate in the Member Needs Assessment survey on Monday, May 4. The email came from CMAA@qemailserver.com.

Know a Leader Ready for CMAA Board Service?
CMAA is now accepting nominations for the 2027 National Board of Directors. Board members help guide the Association’s strategic direction and support the continued advancement of the club management profession.
Eligible nominees must be Professional members in good standing with a minimum of 10 years of CMAA membership and hold the CCM designation. Candidates are expected to demonstrate leadership through chapter service, particularly in officer roles, along with national committee participation and sustained engagement with CMAA.
Nominations are due May 31. Self-nominations are not accepted.

CMAA & Allies File Joint Comments on DOL's Proposed Independent Contractor Rule
On April 28, CMAA, the National Club Association, and the National Golf Course Owners Association filed joint comments with the Department of Labor in response to its proposed revisions to its analysis for determining employee and independent contractor classifications under the Fair Labor Standards Act, released in March.

FY2026 Supplemental H-2B Visa Update: Second Wave Exhausted
On April 29, US Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that the additional 27,736 H-2B visas allocated for returning workers with start dates from April 1 to 30 have been exhausted (as of April 21). The third wave of 18,490 visas will be released on or about May 4 and will be available for all workers with start dates from May 1 to September 30, 2026. Unlike the previous two waves, these are not limited for use only by returning workers.
