Casey Newman, CCM

Casey Newman, CCM (Certified Club Manager), was installed as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2026 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Anaheim, CA, in February. She was first elected in 2021 and re-elected in 2024. Newman is a second-generation club manager and was the first non-General Manager to be elected to the CMAA Board of Directors in 2021.

Newman has served as the General Manager/COO at Lakeside Country Club since January of 2023. Prior to that appointment, she served as the Club Manager of River Oaks Country from 2017 to 2023; the Clubhouse Manager of The Briar Club in Houston, TX, from 2014 to 2017; the Director of Communications of The Briar Club from 2011 to 2014; and the Assistant Clubhouse Manager of Lakewood Country Club in Dallas, TX, from 2007 to 2011.

Newman first joined CMAA in 2004 as a member of the Florida State University Student Chapter. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration from the College of Business at Florida State University in 2006. She became a Professional member in 2007 and earned her CCM designation in 2014. She has served on many national committees including Communications, Credentials, Membership, and Strategic Planning and led the Mid-Manager Task Force. In 2026, she will chair the Audit and Budget & Finance Committees and serve on the Conference Committee.

On the chapter level, Newman has been an active member of the Texas Lone Star Chapter, serving as Chapter President in 2019 and on several Chapter committees.

As CMAA Secretary-Treasurer, Newman will collaborate with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team to advance the profession. As CMAA nears its Centennial, the Board of Directors is dedicated to fostering a thriving club industry by supporting CMAA-educated professionals and guiding the implementation of CMAA's Strategic Plan.
