Joseph Krenn, CCM, CCE
Joe Krenn, CCM (Certified Club Manager), CCE (Certified Chief Executive), was re-elected to the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) Board of Directors at its 2023 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held in Orlando, FL. He was first elected in 2020 and has been re-elected to serve on the Board of Directors for a three-year term.
Krenn has served as the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Farmington Country Club since 2012. Prior to that appointment, he served at the Town Club, Cherokee Town & Country Club in Atlanta, GA, at the Ansley Golf Club in Atlanta, GA, and at the Carnegie Abbey Club in Portsmouth, RI. Krenn is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a AS in Recreation/Leisure Management and a BS in Hospitality Management. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University.
Krenn first joined CMAA in 1998 as a Student Member at Johnson & Wales University (Providence, RI). He earned his CCM designation in 2006 and achieved his CCE designation in 2017. He has volunteered on national committees including the Certification, Communications, Chapter/Member Services, Career Services, Elections, Nominating, Professional Development Research, and Strategic Planning Committees. In 2022, Krenn served as the Chairman of the 2022 Membership Committee. For 2023, he will co-chair the Professional Development Committee.
On the chapter level, Krenn has been active in the Georgia, New England, and Virginias Chapters. Within his local community, he is an active leader with the Salvation Army in Charlottesville, VA, and serves as a Board Member for the National Leadership Academy in Denver, CO.
Krenn will work with the Board of Directors to collaborate with the membership, National Committees and Task Forces, Partners, and the National Headquarters team, to advance the club management profession and the greater industry.
