Kate McDevitt

Kate McDevitt joined CMAA as Director of Web Content Administration in 2021. Kate maintains CMAA’s website presence and is working on the site’s redesign project.

Prior to joining CMAA, Kate worked in website design and development for more than 22 years, managing sites for educational organizations, small businesses, and the federal government. Kate’s previous association experience included 14 years as Webmaster and Director of Web Services at the Association of Writers & Writing Programs. Kate also currently mentors UX/UI students through Thinkful.

Kate graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, with concentrations in human computer interaction (HCI), digital libraries, and online communities. Kate double-minored in Mathematics and Creative Writing.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys cardio kickboxing, volunteering, writing, reading, BookCrossing, building with LEGO, and discussing shows/movies/books with fandom friends.
