CMAA’s 2025 Membership Year is Coming to an End
CMAA’s membership year ends on October 31. Please encourage your Chapter members to renew their memberships at their earliest convenience so they do not incur any late fees that may be assessed in the future.
All payments by check should be mailed to CMAA’s lockbox address:
Club Management Association of America
PO Box 37626
Baltimore, MD 21297-3626
Additionally, please remind them that they can save time and renew online with their credit card by logging into their CMAA profile page.
If you know of any unemployed managers who are actively looking for a job in the industry, please have them contact Alanna Eckard to see if they qualify for a deferment of their dues (Continuation status).
If you or your chapter members have any questions concerning membership renewals for 2026, please email the Membership Department or call 703-739-9500.
Thank you. We look forward to yet another great membership year!
Chapter Idea Fair Winner
Congratulations to the Nebraska Chapter who won first place in the 2025 Chapter Idea Fair for their idea in the “Governance & Leadership” category. See how they developed the L.E.A.D. program to develop future leaders!
The L.E.A.D. program was designed to gain input from younger members and let them develop into emerging leaders! We are hopeful this group provides us with a pipeline of engaged volunteers for years to come.

Advocacy/Legislative Chair: H-2B Visa Update & Understanding the Impact on the US Workforce
As of September 12, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received enough petitions to exhaust the supply of 33,000 H-2B visas allocated for the first half of Fiscal Year 2026. In 2025, this same allotment of visas was exhausted on September 18.
The H-2B Workforce Coalition recently released a new comprehensive economic analysis that explores the impacts and realities of the H-2B Visa Program. Completed by Edgewater Economics, the study shows that the H-2B program does not harm US jobs or wages. In fact, it increases local employment opportunities and wage growth, with each H-2B worker supporting three to five US jobs. Areas with greater H-2B workers saw wages grow 1.6 percent higher.

Career Services Chair: Get Your Résumé Ready
Whether you are looking for a job or not, it is always a good idea to have an up-to-date résumé. Your résumé should reflect your qualifications that make you stand out in a crowd. You need to think of three things: My Brand, Accurate, Simple.
- My Brand—What makes you the best person for the job, your qualifications, your uniqueness.
- Accurate—Be sure the information you provide is correct: dates, certifications, experience. Don't embellish.
- Simple—Try to make your résumé concise. Making your résumé easy to read and to-the-point helps potential employers find you in a crowd.
