Employee Exchange Programme

How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The Employee Exchange Programme has significantly enhanced Tara Iti Golf Club's operation by addressing various challenges faced by the club. This innovative initiative has not only facilitated the exchange of skills and best practices between Tara Iti and The Stock Farm Club but has also promoted professional development, cultural understanding, and teamwork within the global club community.

The programme has allowed employees to gain exposure to diverse working environments, broadening their skill sets and contributing to their overall personal and professional growth. Additionally, it has strengthened the bond between clubs, paving the way for potential collaborations and partnerships in the future. By investing in its people and being the first hospitality company in New Zealand to obtain the Work Exchange Scheme Status with Immigration New Zealand, Tara Iti has positioned itself as an attractive place to work compared to other local clubs or restaurants. Moving forward, Tara Iti remains committed to continually enhancing the overall Employee Experience, aiming to be a leader in the global Private Club community.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Implementing our new Employee Exchange Programme has been an exciting opportunity for us to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across our organization. We started by identifying key departments and teams that would benefit from participating in the programme. Then, we worked closely with our People & Culture team to establish clear guidelines and expectations for both the sending and receiving employees. We made sure to provide thorough orientation and training to prepare participants for their exchange experience. Additionally, we set up regular check-ins and feedback sessions to ensure that the programme was running smoothly and that any challenges were addressed promptly. Overall, the programme has been a great success, allowing employees to gain new perspectives, build relationships, and contribute fresh ideas to their respective teams. We look forward to continuing and expanding this wonderful initiative in the future.

Staff reactions to the implementation of an Employee Exchange Programme have been very positive. Many have expressed excitement at the prospect of participating in this programme. Some are looking forward to gaining new skills and experiences abroad that they can bring back to the team at Tara Iti. There is also a sense of anticipation about the opportunity to build stronger relationships within our organisation and abroad. A few have mentioned feeling a bit nervous about stepping out of their comfort zone, but overall, there is a strong sense of enthusiasm and willingness to embrace this new initiative. It is also clear that our membership see our new Employee Exchange Programme as a worthwhile and valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth for our team, and look forward to connecting with our Employees on their return from an exciting experience abroad and also meeting and getting to know the new staff from the Stock Farm Club here at Tara Iti.
