Friday Foursome

Friday Foursome is a couple’s golf event that The Country Club hosts during the summer golf season. The event draws 40 couples and includes plenty of food and beverage throughout the evening. Friday Foursome features several familiar faces you might find on the links quite regularly, but you are sure to find first-time golfers somewhere in the mix. The scoring format is a Scotch Format and we invite our membership to sign up in groups of up to four couples. Members will find coolers of beverages, friendly faces of team members, and a casual “date night” concept that incorporates their closest friends and golf.

Implementation

As a team, we wanted to take a different approach to the traditional “prim and proper” golf course experience for one evening. So instead, we took a casual approach and implemented a couples’ golf extravaganza that only requires one thing--having fun! Like any event at The Country Club, we aim to deliver a first-class service that offers an exceptional golf, athletic or social activity for our membership. Friday Foursome highlights 9 holes of casual-fun golf, food stations on and off course, and plenty of refreshments to keep the conversations flowing. Once the event is over, we ask everyone to join us in our three-season Burke’s Bar for cocktails and desserts. To generate a spectacular event like this, it involved a collective team effort and plenty of communication from multiple departments. The overall amount of success was determined by the unwavering number of compliments and smiles expressed to our team. Friday Foursome’s structure solidifies that golf is an opportunity for quality bonding time and it is the perfect venue to make new friendships and strengthen relationships!
