Holiday Pop-Up Dinner

Description

This was something different that we tried at Edgewood. It was a pop up dinner that was thrown together 2 weeks prior to the event. The members were given vague riddles to what they were signing up for with only 25 seats being available. The decor, the menu, the entertainment, was all a surprise to them. This event gave the culinary staff the freedom think outside the box, and try different things that they might not get to try on a regular basis. It also gave the front of house a chance to explore different setups, displays, and entertainment that is not normally on the schedule.

Implementation

The member’s were impressed with the entirety of the event. There was menu prepared by the culinary staff that helped showcase their talents, a string quartet playing modern music for entertainment, the table centerpiece were the appetizers, even the room had outside cafe lighting strung from the ceiling. The next day we were receiving emails from members who did not attend wanting to be on the list for the next surprise event. It was a nice way to kickoff the Holiday Season by creating a “buzz” as to what level the talented staff at Edgewood is capable of.
