Idea Fair

Leadership Book Club

Description

This past summer our leadership team and interns were challenged to read a series of books carefully selected to help each participant grow as leaders and professionals. The group met every three weeks and each participant was expected to come to the meeting having read the book, thought about the book, and with any activities that accompanied the book completed. Each of our five interns were assigned a book to study and tasked with leading the discussion group on that book.

Implementation

This forced the interns to think outside the box and engage their fellow participants in different ways during the discussions. The team forged a strong bond throughout the summer as they shared their thoughts, strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
