How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

The venture was a smashing success, as our Sommelier visited each vehicle with the list of “one-off” bottles to pair with dinners to-go. Once our excess inventory was depleted, we partnered with our distributors and utilized their closeouts. We are keeping the idea of using a limited quantity, discounted wine list to add value and eliminate excess inventory, even as all operations have returned to normal.

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

Since members did not have access to the Clubhouse during lockdown, the Board wanted to extend value by offering ½ off wines. Taking advantage of the relaxed Wine-To-Go laws, Ansley created a program called “The Valet Sommelier.” We utilized this concept to provide a huge boost for the launch of our To-Go program, while simultaneously cleaning out our old cellar inventory.
