How has this idea enhanced your club's operation, etc.?

We wanted to throw a tremendous party type event that would be extraordinary in every way yet would not break the bank, and in fact would generate money!! Pirates fit the bill! Members donated their time and talents to create everything from top to bottom resulting in a two hour epic Broadway style production at minimal cost to our Club! This event has been more meaningful and memorable to membership than any outside hired entertainment could ever be!

How was this idea implemented, and what have been the club members' reactions?

We repurposed old clubhouse decorations and paints to make scenery and props. Using glue guns and purchasing things from Goodwill, our crew was kept busy making the costumes at minimal cost! The performance itself, was supported by members, their friends and family who came from all over the country to see the show! Our Food and Beverage Department was kept busy serving food and drinks for all who attended the standing room only venue.

The entire audience was thrilled and delighted and could not believe that all this was achieved by members of their community.
