Yellow Ribbon Fund, Inc

Description

ANCC’s 12 year relationship with the Yellow Ribbon Fund has been fundamental to the club’s outreach efforts in the local community. The club’s members, many of whom are retired military, greatly value the contributions the club has made toward the success of the charity and the relationships it has allowed us to establish. Since its inception the event has raised over $1.2 million for YRF in addition to which the club has donated $125,000 of its own funds and the swim team members contributed $16,000 in 2019 through a swim-a-thon.

Implementation

This event started out with a small golf tournament and has grown to a full field golf classic, tennis tournament, swim-a-thon and “Family Day” for wounded veterans and their families at the club. Over 40 of the club’s members volunteer each year to ensure the event goes off without a hitch and that the veterans are able to enjoy the club’s facilities to the fullest extent. The club member’s are very proud to be able to do this and to ‘give back’ to such a worthwhile community.
