Speaker Know Before You Go

We’re excited to have you join us in Anaheim this year. Please review the topics below to make the most of your CMAA World Conference & Club Business Expo experience.

Upon arrival, proceed to registration at the Anaheim Marriott to pick up your conference badge. We strongly recommend doing this well in advance of your scheduled session time to avoid delays.

If unavoidable, you may go directly to your session room and pick up your badge afterward.

If you registered under a category other than Speaker (for example, Full Conference, Education Only, or Exhibitor), please visit the Member Services Pavilion (MSP) in the Grand Ballroom to receive your speaker ribbon. This ribbon identifies you as a presenter and helps staff support you quickly.

If you need to reach Michelle Carrington on-site, call 703-299-4264. Michelle's work phone will be forwarded. If Michelle doesn't answer immediately, please leave a message with your name, contact information, and a message. Michelle will follow up as soon as possible.

Please download the 2026 CMAA World Conference & Club Business Expo app before arriving onsite.

Use it to access the full schedule of concurrent education sessions, create your personal schedule, build your attendee profile and network with fellow attendees, view maps and important locations, and stay up to date with the latest news and announcements.

New This Year!

You can create your own appointments and manage your schedule all in one place.

The recommended dress code is business casual, though business attire is also welcome based on your personal preference. Layering is strongly encouraged due to temperature variation in meeting spaces.

If you are receiving expenses, as outlined in your initial confirmation letter. Please ensure you follow the submission directions outlined in the instructor guidelines and have them sent by March 17, 2026. A follow-up email will be sent to individuals receiving expenses after the conference as well.

A volunteer CMAA member will introduce your session using an abbreviated CMAA-provided version of your bio. You may expand on your background within your own presentation if desired.

Elite Ballroom 3 will be available throughout the conference.

The Speaker Ready Room includes:

  • Power sources
  • Wi-Fi
  • A laptop for quick previews
  • Space to meet co-presenters, rehearse, or finalize content

A printer will not be available; please complete any printing before arrival or at your hotel.

Please be mindful of timing—sessions have a 15-minute buffer for AV turnover and room reset. There is no formal rehearsal time. Each speaker should arrive 15 minutes prior to their assigned slot to do a tech check. If Q&A extends past your end time, we ask that you continue conversations outside the session room to allow the next presenter to begin set-up.

Each session room will be equipped with the standard AV package, which includes:

  • PC laptop in-room
  • Wireless slide advancer
  • Wireless lavalier microphone(s)
  • Wired podium with microphone
  • Projector and screen
  • Head table with chairs
  • Q&A microphone in the audience
  • Wi-Fi and wired sound for videos
  • An onsite AV technician assigned to the room throughout your session

Please bring:

  • A copy of your presentation on a USB drive
  • Your own laptop if preferred (recommended as backup)
  • Mac users: your own HDMI adapter

If you intend to play videos or audio, we strongly recommend testing them during setup or during the break prior to your session in the speaker ready room.

If you have additional questions, please contact Michelle Carrington.
