Offered in the fall, the Mid-Management Conference began as a grassroots effort in 1991 by the Greater Chicago Chapter to provide quality educational and networking opportunities for club management professionals who do not serve in the general manager/chief operating officer role. Education is focused on developing new skills, broadening horizons, and advancing career and certification goals.

This year’s event will take place in Nashville, TN, October 19-22. Attend and explore sessions on personal leadership, club trends, and career advancement.

Yet few of these leaders are equipped with the mindset and tools to lead through the internal process that real change requires. 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon	Closing Keynote: Leadership Strategies that Overcome Adversity Aaron Golub Learn to identify challenges, overcome obstacles, and convert failures into successful lessons and opportunities. Focus on the ability to navigate daily adversities and recognize that we are each responsible for our own actions, outcomes, and ultimately, success. We’ll discuss improving your perspective around the challenges and perceived limitations you face and finding gratitude for the adversities within your life. Enable your team to become more resilient and empower them to break through challenges. After this program, you will be able to: Develop courage to push through limitations, overcome adversities, and have the skills to tackle any challenge at hand. Use your internal drive to destroy any negative opposition. Create positive momentum by shifting your perspective and finding gratitude within all the adversities you face. Inspire and motivate your team, even in difficult circumstances allowing everyone to perform at higher levels than they thought were possible.
12:00 noon	Buses depart for Hutton Hotel Attendees will return to the Hutton Hotel following the final session and depart for the airport from there. To help ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for everyone, please refrain from bringing luggage to Belle Meade on Wednesday morning, as storage space is limited. The bus will return to the hotel after the session to allow time for luggage pickup and airport departures.

The 2025 Mid-Management Conference host hotel will be The Hutton Hotel Nashville.

Rate: CMAA has arranged for a special rate of $309 plus applicable taxes.

Reservations: Guests may reserve their accommodations online.

Deadline: The last day to book within the group block is September 25.

CMAA makes every effort to keep attendee expenses at the Mid-Management Conference including registration fees and accommodation rates for the event as economical as possible. We work diligently to negotiate the best hotel rates and to make the best use of your registration dollars to keep the Conference affordable and accessible.

CMAA encourages all participants to reserve a room at The Hutton Hotel; this supports not only the Conference, but also future meetings. While in some instances, less expensive accommodations may be available from third party online consolidators, booking within CMAA’s established block helps to underwrite the cost of meeting space and other hotel concessions. When commitments to our host property are not met, CMAA must pay penalties which will ultimately increase the cost of events.

Airport Options

The Nashville International Airport (BNA) in Nashville, TN, is easily accessible for all attendees and serviced by most major airlines. The airport is roughly 7 miles east of Downtown Nashville, with several options for onward transportation.

The dress code for the Mid-Management Conference is Business Casual. See further details on what each club expects:

Hillwood Country Club—Business Casual for Clubhouse events. Note: Hats and jeans are not permitted.

Belle Meade Country Club—Business Casual. The Club prefers men wear a coat, but a tie is not required. Note: Jeans are not permitted.

Richland County Club—More refined attire is expected. An example would be collared shirt (golf or dress) & slacks for men and dresses/skirts/shirts for ladies. Sport coats are preferred for men after 5:00 p.m. Note: Hats, jeans, and athletic apparel are not permitted.

Many of our attendees bring a spouse, partner, or family member when traveling to these wonderful destinations. While guests will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the location, please know that the CMAA program (sessions, off-site experiences, networking events, and group transportation) is reserved just for registered attendees. This way, CMAA can keep the learning and connections meaningful, while you and your guest can still enjoy the trip together outside of program time.

All registration cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing by the individual whose name appears on the registration. To be valid, submit all requests to CMAA Registration. No refunds will be made after Thursday, September 18. CMAA regrets that refunds will not be given for no-shows. Substitutions are gladly accepted; substitutions of registrations are permitted prior to the event. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations (any balance due) associated with the substitution. Badge sharing, splitting, and reprints are strictly prohibited.
